KVSR Getting Biggest Response in Multiplexes

It was always felt  Challengig Star Darshan starrers do not get a big opening in Multiplexes though  the lanky action hero is the Sultan of Single screens. Though this impression had to be little erased  in Darshan's last film "Chingaari', it was always felt that films of Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar, Upendra, Kiccha Sudeep and director Yogaraj Bhat  had better openings in multiplexes compared to Darshan films.
But it looks as if Darshan's latest film Kranti Veera Sangolli Raayanna has got a new fillip  in the multiplexes looking at the fantastic response the film has got.   Despite rain lashing in the two days prior to the release of the film and the warning signals that the rain will continue to pour till Sunday, there has been a high level of interest shown by the regular watchers of films  multiplex cinemas.
At the time of writing this article, just few hours before the first show of KVSR is to start in Bengalore, the happy news is that the film's first four shows in Gopalan grand  Multiplex  have been full according to the details obtained from the theater website. The bookings in many multiplexes have been quite pacy and now many multiplexes have increased the number of shows.
Rockline which had started with four shows has increased the number of shows to seven. Bookings for three shows is already full with a heavy demand for the night 10.20 P.M. Show.  Looking at the demand, the number of shows may be increased to nine or ten, say sources close to the multiplex.
The INOX screen bookings have been fantastic Audi screen which has the biggest seating capacity in INOX multiplex screens the film in morning show which has already been full.  The response in INOX screens in Garuda Mall, J.P.Nagar and Swagath has also been hugely encouraging.
Even Cinemax morning show has been full a day before the morning show commences. Morning show in Cinemax will start at 10.00 A.M. The response at Cinepolis and Fame Lido is better, but it has to be watched how the film fares on the first day of screening.
However the attitude of the PVR Cinemas is really surprising.  The multiplex which has offered  21 shows to English film Skyfall (Bond Film) has restricted the screening availability of  the much awaited Kannada film to just four shows.
It will be a complete four shows full in PVR from day one to day five, says Kannada film watchers. It is also seen the other multiplexes have also given preference to screening of the Bond film than to KVSR which is a film made with the biggest budget in Sandalwood. That too for the day when the whole state celebrates the Kannada Rajyothsava.
Certainly KVSR which is expected to be the most extravagant production will see all the forty plus shows in various multiplexes will be full on  day one and seats will be filled with maximum capacity till the coming Sunday.  Rest will depend on the quality of the film and how Kannada film fans will receive it.
Meanwhile, Darshan will be leading a procession from the Sangolli Raayanna circle near Bengaluru Railway station to Narthaki theatre which starts from 8.30 A.M. on November 1.  Bengaluru Mayor Venkatesha Murthy will be the Chief guest at the function.   Many dignatories including Venkatesha Murthy will be watching the film on day one in Bengaluru.
