It is well known in the Kannada film industry that Rebel Star Ambareesh always speaks his mind and is not afraid of the consequences. Another known factor is that he has always stood for the rights of the farmers of Cauvery basin.  He resigned as a Member of Parliament and even as a Minister when the Cauvery River Water issue controversy reached its peak.   He did not chose to play a safe game like  many of the present day politicians belonging to the Congress Party who chose to defend their party and criticising the Ruling Party of  the state.  And there are other politicians from Mandya Region who say that they are prepared to hand over resignations, but they have handed over the resignation papers to their party president.  This is nothing but an eye wash.

It is really heartening that such a conscietous leader is leading the film artists delegation on October 6 which is meeting the Governor Hamsaraj Bharadwaj to hand over the film industry's anguish about the order of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
