Benkoshri's film Bhageerathi directed by Prof. Baragooru Ramachandrappa is the first film this year to complete one hundred days run in a single theatre. The celebrations were held on Monday Evening at Harsha Mahal in situated in Byadarahalli.
Ms. Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Ms. Jayanthi, Mr. K.V.Chandrashekhar, President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerece, Sa. Ra. Govindoo, pro Kannada leader and veteran producer from KFCC were the chief guests. Mementoes were presented t artists and technicians of the film.
As usual, Prof. Baragooru made a lengthy speech in which he said that the film was an effort of a team work. The anxiety of tasting success for a film directed by him might have influenced him to repeat most of the sentences he had said in earlier press meets. He once again added that the success of the film proved that family audience are prepared to accept the out of the box films. HE also decried the quality of lyrics in present films. He said Bhageerathi's success has proved that there are alternative methods to reach out film audience.
Producer Benkoshir was felicitated in the function by Prof Baragooru.
