Share Broker turned film distributor Prasad has filed a complaint against actor-producer-director S.Narayan to the Kannada film Chamber of Commerce and the Kannada film producers association accusing him of bouncing the cheque and cheating him to the tune of Rs. Two crores which was obtained by him
Prasad says that the loan was obtained by S.Narayan during the making of the film "Munjaane' as he had been facing difficult times. But since S.Narayan had not paid the money after the release of the film and betrayed the trust on him. Several times he had personally gone to Narayan's house to receive empty promises, says Prasad. Later he had bounced the cheque, adds he.
Now, the matter is with the chamber and producers association. The KPA is calling both S. Narayan and Prasad for thrashing out a solution which seems to be an unlikely proposition. Meanwhile, Prasad has continued his legal efforts to recover the dues from Narayan, it is learnt.
